We are currently looking for a dynamic and motivated Project Manager to join our team.
Job Overview:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the daily activities of multiple production crews, including designating material staging areas, overseeing training of individuals in roofing system installations, and crew personnel management scheduling and issues. The Project Manager will coordinate work schedules with clients and Mesa Crews and inform the manager of any changes to the schedules. The project Manager will be responsible for the oversight of installing roof systems with the highest degree of quality, in the safest and most cost effective manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical roofing knowledge, leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and project management expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Comprehensive Job Records in CRM Software:
- Upload “before” photos within 24 hours of project commencement.
- Document any complications, site issues, or customer concerns.
- Record all customer communications under project file tagging relevant office staff as needed.
- Upload photos of technical aspects not previously discussed with the sales team.
- Upload completion photos after a full job site clean up.
- Monitor and Respond to Weather Conditions
- Continuously monitor weather forecasts when scheduling or planning jobs.
- Consult multiple weather sources to avoid schedule conflicts or safety risks.
- Monitor Job Progress and Control Costs:
- Communicate any unplanned purchases with the sales team to ensure budget compliance.
- Submit all receipts to the office manager in a timely manner for accurate cost tracking.
- Oversee Project Planning, Scheduling, and Coordination:
- Order materials promptly once the project is approved
- Coordinate scheduling between client and Mesa Crews
- Work with distributor to arrange timely material delivery and staging
- Confirm staging areas with client
- Be present on installation day to manage operations
- Conduct quality control inspections upon completion of the project
- Manage and Monitor Project Budgets:
- Ensure that there are no additional costs outside the original scope
- Communicate substantial costs with sales
- Ensure that hourly crews have the resources, support and efficiency to complete task within budget
- Create and confirm labor tickets when working with subcontractors and turn in approved tickets to the office manager for payment
- Track Progress and Communicate Update to Management
- Inform management of any changes in scheduling
- COnduct regular visits to monitor construction progress and ensure project specifications are met
- Collaboration with City Inspectors:
- Once job is completed collaborate with office manager to schedule inspection
- Install smoke detector
- Attend inspection and inform subcontractor of any repairs needed
- Resolve Issues that May Arise:
- If the customer is going to think about it, we need to think about it, I.E. vehicles, pets/children, flower bed, cleanliness, sentimental items, protection of their home
- Put plans in place to make the customer happy, I.E. tarping patio furniture, sweeping concrete, protecting inside of home when changing out skylights
Requirements:
- Proven experience in roofing or a related industry (construction, home improvement, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of roofing products, services, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- Familiarity with CRM software is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in project management.
- Knowledge of local building codes and roofing regulations.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
